One of the most beautiful and cozy area is, indeed, the old room of the fireplace. The fireplace dates back to the half of 17th century when the hotel was built. A great deal of peculiarities of that period have been preserved in this room, such as the wooden ceiling decorated with vine motifs or the original side window with a Tiffany stained glass work of the 17th century showing the Simonis' family crest.
A good book, a cognac or a glass of Riesling do create the perfect mood to end up the evening in front of a blazing fire.
The old fireplace is meant as the location where guests can to socialize, listen to music, ask tips about excursions of the next day or simply to relax.
